James the Flute Player- Adelaide Project

This is James, a rather burly looking chap who I saw playing the flute in quite an accomplished manner and busking in Rundle Mall. He was gracious enough to let me take his picture and even lift his wrap around sunnies.

Dragon training

Another D&D portfolio piece: learning to fly has inherent occupational hazards.
A quick piece trying to work with value and composition to get a bit more dynamic. Been really inspired by the work of Ralph Horsley lately.
Acrylic on board.

Crossing Paths

A portfolio piece along D&D lines- may still offer in some tweaks so critical feedback is welcome :)
Our heroes come across a wounded orc- old, hunted and injured, but a mighty warrior of his kind and not to be taken lightly.
Acrylic on board, 305 x 390 mm

Top Scores

An editorial piece about video games and classical influences.
Sketch in pencil with digital colour.
The palette is subdued green grays with the red chosen to bounce off that.
Just trying to work up my digital painting skills and also develop a time effective process for digital work.

Sneak peek

Here is a sneak peek of some of the images I'm showing at Ms Doody's Art Show the 2nd

Prints and postcards will be for sale as well as the original paintings which will each be sold with an amazing plush model (rendered into spectacular 3 dimensional squishiness by my partner Huong). It's in Adelaide this weekend, so if you are too then come along!

Alice in Wonderland

A mural in my little one's room.

It occupies the entire wall- about 3m x 2.4m. Acrylic.

This piece tries to reflect some of the mayhem and nonsense of the book as well as the strange undercurrents in each of the characters.

Other than that, it's fun!
